Who:

The North Gwinnett Cooperative is a ministry that was started by the Sugar Hill United Methodist Church in 1991 to provide social services and financial assistance to those in need throughout the Buford, Suwanee, and Sugar Hill communities in Georgia.

What:

There are thousands of families who are rent-burdened and food insecure, who need a helping hand to close the widening gap. The North Gwinnett Cooperative provides assistance to families to attain their most basic needs - food, water, utilities, tutoring, and professional development.

Our Impact:

With an investment of $2,500, the Osei Rubie Charitable Fund helped the Co-op increase its food quantity and quality while advancing their efforts to promote self-sufficiency. Last year, nearly 17,000 people were served food which included fresh produce. Additionally, the tutoring space was expanded with a new 10-station computer lab for student and adult education.
